This visualization illustrates the design approaches and methodologies I have applied throughout my MFA journey. The framework for my thesis on ‘Urban Tech and Perceptions of Safety’ emerged through extensive research and multiple design projects, during which I began to notice recurring patterns in my process. These recurring “threads” of methodology are interwoven into a cohesive, linear framework, what I call a ‘Braided Approach’.
The idea comes from braided essays in literature, where different storylines are woven together to form one narrative. In a similar way, this framework connects multiple ways of thinking and designing into a single, evolving process.
